A Unique Austrian Wine Experience – Oct. 27 to Nov. 1

You may be familiar with Klaus Wittauer and KW Selection from last month’s Interview with an Importer entry, but here’s a way to really get to know him and the amazing wines he imports.

After working in the top restaurants of Austria, Bermuda, St. Louis and Virginia as a restaurant manager/sommelier, Klaus has finally realized his dream of sharing the wine, food, art and friends of his homeland with all of us! Arrive in Austria. It’s recommended you arrive early to relax a few days at the Loisium Spa and/or spend some time in Vienna. KW Selection can help you to arrange this package.

Early lunch a Plachutte known for Tafelspitz, an Austrian specialty, paired with Strauss wines of Styria.

Drive to Langenlois, check in to Loisium Hotel

Pre-dinner Sekt tastings

Dinner with Weingut Steininger

Drive to Wachau to visit Weingut Tegernseerhof

Tasting and dinner with Martin Mittelbach

Drive to Parndorf, Burgenland. Check in to Hotel Pannonia (Hill 1) Tower

Dinner (best Goulash in Austria) and tasting with Weingut Netzl

Overnight in Burgenland
